How the Depop Bundle Discount Calculator Works
This calculator estimates the effect of combining item prices, a bundle discount, shipping and seller-entered fee assumptions. It does not connect to Depop or retrieve a live transaction receipt.
1. Enter each item
Add one row for every item in the bundle. Enter its listed price and associated shipping amount. Use the same currency for every input. At least one item must remain in the bundle.
2. Choose a bundle discount
The discount percentage is applied to the combined item subtotal. For example, a $50 subtotal with a 10% discount receives a $5 discount, leaving $45 in merchandise revenue before shipping and fees. Larger discounts reduce the revenue available to cover costs.
3. Select a shipping scenario
Highest item shipping uses the largest shipping amount entered. Sum of item shipping adds all entered shipping amounts. Free to buyer sets the modeled amount collected for shipping to zero. These are calculation scenarios, not a guarantee of how Depop will apply your actual bundle settings or postage costs.
4. Review fee assumptions
The calculator starts with a 0% selling fee and a 3.3% plus $0.45 processing fee as editable example assumptions. These values are not universal. Depop’s published guidance says standard selling fees do not apply to sellers in the US, UK and Australia, while payment processing and other fees can vary. Verify your current official fee schedule and transaction receipt before relying on an estimate.
5. Understand payout versus profit
Estimated net amount subtracts the fee assumptions and other costs you enter from the modeled transaction total. It is not automatically business profit. Include inventory, postage, packaging and other expenses if you want a more useful estimate. Taxes, refunds and adjustments may change the final amount.
Ways to improve bundle pricing
- Know your approximate item cost before offering a discount.
- Use realistic shipping amounts and confirm label costs separately.
- Check whether boosting or other services add fees to a sale.
- Compare estimates with actual transaction receipts.
- Keep enough margin for packaging, returns and unexpected expenses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Depop charge every seller a 10% selling fee?
No. Depop’s published guidance says standard selling fees do not apply to sellers based in the US, UK and Australia. Other markets may have different fees. Check the current policy for your location and account.
Is the 3.3% plus $0.45 processing fee universal?
No. This is an editable example, not a universal rate. Processing fees depend on region and payment arrangements. Verify your current fee schedule.
Does free bundle shipping mean postage costs nothing?
No. It means the buyer pays zero shipping in this scenario. You may still have to pay for a shipping label or postage yourself.
How is the bundle discount calculated?
The entered percentage is multiplied by the sum of item prices. That amount is subtracted from the item subtotal, and shipping is modeled separately.
Does the calculator include inventory cost?
Only if you enter it under Other costs. Add inventory acquisition and other relevant expenses for a more useful profit estimate.
Are boosted listing fees included automatically?
No. The boost fee defaults to zero. Enter an applicable rate if you expect a boosting fee, after checking the current policy.
Can I use this calculator for pounds or Australian dollars?
This version formats amounts in US dollars and starts with US example assumptions. Do not use it for another currency without updating currency formatting and the relevant fee settings.
Why might my actual payout differ?
Actual results may differ because of fee rules, taxes, shipping labels, boosting, refunds, adjustments or other costs. This calculator does not access your transaction receipt.
