What is an Etsy Offsite Ads fee?
Etsy promotes eligible listings through external advertising channels. When a buyer clicks an Offsite Ad and completes a qualifying purchase from a shop within the attribution window, an advertising fee may apply. The fee is subject to a maximum of $100 USD per attributed order under the assumptions used here. If an order is not attributed to an Offsite Ad, turn off the checkbox to exclude that fee from the estimate.
When does the 15% or 12% rate apply?
The rate depends on a shop’s revenue during a consecutive 365-day period. Shops that have always remained below the $10,000 USD threshold generally use the 15% rate and may be eligible to opt out. Once a shop reaches the threshold, the 12% rate and mandatory participation rules may apply. Confirm your current shop status and applicable terms before using the estimate for pricing decisions.
Which selling fees are included?
- Listing fee: The default assumption is $0.20 USD. Additional quantities and listing renewals may create further charges.
- Transaction fee: The default assumption is 6.5% of the simplified order amount.
- Payment processing: The percentage and fixed fee depend on the seller’s bank-account country. The default 3% plus $0.25 is a US example, not a universal rate.
- Offsite Ads: The selected 12% or 15% rate applies only when the attributed-order checkbox is enabled. The estimate applies the $100 USD cap.
- Regulatory operating fee: This is editable because the applicable rate depends on the seller’s country.

Why is the result not the same as profit?
This calculator subtracts only the fees displayed in the breakdown. It does not subtract manufacturing costs, packaging, your own shipping expenses, labour, refunds or other business costs. Subtract those expenses separately to estimate profit. The result does not guarantee the amount deposited into your payment account.

What is the Offsite Ads fee rate?

Does every Etsy order incur an Offsite Ads fee?

Does the calculator include shipping?
Yes. The simplified order amount is item sale price plus buyer-paid shipping. Gift wrap and personalisation are not entered separately.
Is payment processing always 3% plus $0.25?
No. This is the default US example. Processing fees vary by seller country. For example, India has a different percentage and fixed fee structure. Enter the rate and fixed fee applicable to your own account, using a consistent currency.
Does this calculate my product profit?
No. It estimates the amount remaining after the listed fees. To calculate profit, subtract product costs, fulfilment, packaging, shipping expenses and other business costs separately.
Why can my actual payout be different?
Your payment account may include taxes on fees, currency conversion, extra listing fees, refunds, reserves, deposit fees or other adjustments that this simplified calculator does not model.
